Elizabeth Fones-Wolf and Ken Fones-Wolf, professors in the  Eberly College of Arts and Sciences  Department of History at  West Virginia University, have won an award from the Organization of American Historians for their book, “Struggle for the Soul of the Postwar South: White Evangelical Protestants and Operation Dixie.” 

West Virginia University Department of History Associate Professor Mark Tauger has been awarded a membership in the Institute for Advanced Studies at Princeton University for the 2016-17 academic year.

Diversity is well recognized by industry, the academy, and other institutions as an incubator for learning, creativity and innovation. 

The Department of English will host a reading by Jayne Phillips on Thursday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the Robinson Reading Room, WVU Downtown Library.

The Eberly College of Arts and Sciences at West Virginia University has recognized the achievements of three professors receiving the College’s Outstanding Researcher Award for the 2015-16 academic year.

Margaret Stout, associate professor of public administration, has been named the 2016 WVU Eberly College Outstanding Public Service award winner, but says the real credit belongs to the 69 students who have participated in service learning projects and the communities she works with to make meaningful changes.

The WVU Eberly College of Arts and Sciences has named four recipients of the 2016 Outstanding Staff Award: Deborah “Debbie” Koon-Friel, Robert Phipps, R. George Parnell and Ronny Thompson.
