As a graduate student in the law and Master of Public Administration programs at West Virginia University, Bill Hinerman joined the Navy JAG Corps in 1989, which led to a lifelong career in government and the military. Hinerman shared with us how his WVU education was the foundation of his career.

The  Department of English  and the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences  at West Virginia University will host a lecture by social commentator and author Katha Pollitt on Monday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. in the Mountainlair Student Union’s Gold Ballroom.

Morgantown, W.Va. native Emma Harrison, a junior Honors College student and Puskar Scholar studying political science and leadership studies, details her internship with the West Virginia Innocence Project and how what she has learned there has prepared her for her future career. Harrison has studied abroad several times, and she also shares her experiences in the many countries she has visited.
