Two Eberly College students will work for solutions to world problems and provide education opportunities to refugees as Boren Scholars in Oman and Jordan— two countries identified as critical to U.S. interests.

The Eberly College Dean’s Office has announced the first cohort of Woodburn Fellowship recipients, whose two-year terms start in August 2020.

On Saturday, May 2020 graduates and their loved ones gathered for virtual Mountaineer Graduation Day. Earlier in April, more than 200 employees and friends of the Eberly College donated to The Rack, to both honor the Class of 2020 and address food insecurity. What links these two events? The power of collective action and resilience despite physical distance.

Carolyn Eberly Blaney, an outstanding alumna of the Eberly College and WVU who carried on a longstanding family tradition of philanthropy that inspired the naming of our College, passed away May 8 at the age of 96.

The WVU Humanities Center announces the recipients of its third annual grants and fellowships competition funded by a WVU endowment from the Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation. Ten Eberly College faculty received fellowships and grants for 2020-2021.

Renée Nicholson, an expert in narrative medicine, has been named the new director of the WVU Humanities Center. She replaces Rhonda Reymond, who has served as interim director since August 2019 and who will return to her role as associate director of the Humanities Center. Nicholson assumes this administrative assignment on July 1 and will maintain her coordinator position in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences. 

WVU's Eberly College is ahead of many other universities across the country in offering all biology, chemistry and physics labs online this summer. This is the first time WVU has offered all basic labs online.
