Meet the 2026 Grads

Approximately 900 Eberly College students will graduate in Spring 2026. Meet some of our graduates from across Eberly disciplines.


Alliese Walker

What are your plans after graduation?

I ’ll be attending WVU College of Law this fall, where I plan to focus on technology law. I’m especially interested in working with ethical AI deployment in a contractual or project management role.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

As a COMMbassador intern, I helped launch a recruitment campaign targeting STEM students for a Communication Studies minor—an overlooked group at the time.

What is your favorite WVU memory?

It’s hard to choose just one, but some of my favorite moments have been attending football and baseball games with friends and my younger sister.

   

Daniel Campa

What are your plans after graduation?

I plan to attend the University of Pennsylvania to pursue an MSE in Data Science. I hope to work with the IoT4Ag Engineering Research Center, focusing on agricultural technology.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

I participated in a mission trip to the Dominican Republic, where I helped pour concrete floors and distribute food in underserved batey communities.

What is your favorite WVU memory?

Beating Pitt in football at home in Fall 2025.

 


Grant Fisher

What are your plans after graduation?

I plan to stay at West Virginia University to pursue a PhD in chemical engineering.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

My proudest non-academic accomplishment was helping write drumline cymbal parts that were performed during halftime at the Coal Rush football game!

What is your favorite WVU memory?

Marching in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and representing WVU and West Virginia on a national stage.

 


Sonia Novytska

What are your plans after graduation?

I hope to continue my professional development in human rights advocacy and pursue a doctoral degree in the near future

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

Conducting research at the UN Archives in New York earlier this year was an incredible opportunity.

What is your favorite WVU memory?

So many moments stand out, but especially my time as a radio DJ at U92!

 


Sophie Slaughter

What are your plans after graduation?

I’m excited to continue working with the Center for Prison Education and Research. In the future, I hope to pursue a MA/PhD in History focused on prisons and policing in Appalachia, but for now I’m looking forward to some rest and reading.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

I recently (mostly) finished my first quilt after learning to sew from a friend last summer!  

What is your favorite WVU memory?

My favorite memories are the moments spent with passionate people in student and community spaces, working to make things better.
