Exploring Restorative Justice as an Option for Campus Sexual Assault Responses Under Title IX

How should universities respond to sexual assault offenses under Title IX? Should punishment focus on retribution or restoration? What model of justice would be best?

Join discussion leader Amy Cyphert, director of the ASPIRE Office and lecturer in the College of Law, in The Speculation Academy's second conversation of the spring 2019 semester. All students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be provided.

The Speculation Academy is an interdisciplinary discussion series devoted to the exploration of new and experimental ideas in a supportive and respectful community of students and faculty. The Speculation Academy is organized by the Department of Philosophy with support from the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences and the WVU Humanities Center.
