'Paper Tigers:' An Adverse Childhood Experiences Film Screening Event
The WVU School of Social Work will host a film screening and panel discussion of the documentary "Paper Tigers" on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. in the Mountainlair Student Union's Gluck Theatre. "Paper Tigers" follows a year in the life of an alternative high school that has radically changed its approach to disciplining its students, becoming a promising model for how to break the cycles of poverty, violence and disease that affect families.The panel will feature area practitioners specializing in trauma-informed care. resources will also be available.
The event is funded by a grant from the Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation.
