2020 Election Series: The Constitution, the Supreme Court and the 2020 Election
On Tuesday, Oct. 6, Chair of Political Science John Kilwein will discuss recent decisions handed down by the Supreme Court that deal with redistricting and voting and how those may influence the 2020 election and beyond.
Throughout October, the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences is holding a series of lunch-hour discussions on topics related to the 2020 general election. The programs will be held on Zoom from noon to 12:50 p.m. Registration is required.
About the Speaker
John Kilwein is an associate professor and chair of the Department of Political Science
at WVU. He earned a PhD in political science from Ohio State University and
a Master of Public Administration and BA from the University of Pittsburgh. He
teaches courses on law and politics, constitutional law and policy. His research
focuses on the politics of legal aid and legal services, the impact of litigant
status on judicial outcomes and the development of indigenous policy in U.S. and
Canadian courts.
