What is an ideally diverse and inclusive university?

When you imagine an ideally diverse and inclusive university, what do you see? How does it feel to be a part of that community? What makes it a better place to learn, teach, create and live? What are some of the features of an ideally diverse and inclusive university? What can we do, right now, to get there?

Join discussion leaders Daniel Brewster, an instructor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, and LGBTQ+ Center Director Cris Mayo in The Speculation Academy's first conversation of the spring 2019 semester. All students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be provided.

The Speculation Academy is an interdisciplinary discussion series devoted to the exploration of new and experimental ideas in a supportive and respectful community of students and faculty. The Speculation Academy is organized by the Department of Philosophy with support from the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences and the WVU Humanities Center.
