The Impact of the Opioid Crisis on the WVDHHR Bureau for Children and Families

In this one-hour seminar, Beverly Heldreth, MSW will give a firsthand account of the impact the opioid crisis has had on children and families in the child protective service system of West Virginia. She will also discuss the impact that the opioid crisis has had on the child protective services system as a whole, current challenges the Department of Health and Human Services is facing and how the issue is being addressed in West Virginia.

Beverly Heldreth, MSW/LCSW is the Region 1 social service program manager in the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Services. She received her MSW from WVU.
