Through the development of excellent and diverse faculty, students, and programs, the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences will:

• Lead in West Virginia University’s emergence as one of the nation’s premier institutions of higher education

• Strengthen existing successes in learning and discovery, and build academic programs for tomorrow

• Enhance the well-being of the citizens of West Virginia, as well as our region, nation, and world

To realize this vision, the Eberly College will:

• Increase interdisciplinary approaches

• Emphasize and enhance global perspectives

• Promote a philosophy of inclusive excellence
