Publish It! The Process of Publishing

Kristi Williams, professor and vice-chair of sociology at Ohio State University, will present a talk on the publishing process on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 12 p.m. in the Mountainlair Student Union's Shenandoah Room. Her talk is part of the brown bag seminar series sponsored by the Department of Sociology and Anthropology.

Williams received a PhD in sociology at the University of Texas at Austin in 2000 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center on Demography and Economics of Aging at NORC and the University of Chicago before joining the faculty of OSU's Department of Sociology in 2002. She is also a senior scholar at the Council on Contemporary Families, past chair of the American Sociological Association on Mental Health and editor of the Journal of Marriage and Family. As a family demographer and medical sociologist, her research examines the changing intersections of marriage and parenthood and their consequences for health and well-being across the life course.
