Michael Perone coordinates a number of activities related to faculty, including recruitment and hiring, evaluation, promotion and tenure, workload approvals, sabbatical applications, faculty development programs and appointment and review of named professors.
Perone earned his doctorate in 1981 from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He was an assistant professor at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington before joining the faculty at West Virginia University in 1984. As a professor of psychology, Perone’s research is concerned with developing laboratory models of behavioral processes involved in problem behavior such as failures of self-control.
