MORGANTOWN, W. Va. (Nov. 15, 2013)- The West Virginia University Department of Geology and Geography will host Geography awareness week. The department will host different events throughout the week to help raise a better understanding of geography. The events will take place from Nov. 18th to Nov. 22nd. and are open to the public.

Monday Nov. 18: “CAVE Demo” 2 p.m.-1p.m. on the first floor of Brooks Hall. “Deserts from Around the World” 1:30 p.m.- 3:00 p.m. third floor of Brooks Hall.

Tuesday Nov. 19: “CAVE Demo” 11 a.m.- 12 p.m. on the first floor of Brooks Hall. “Geography Bee” 12 p.m.- 1 p.m. on the first floor of Brooks Hall. Movie Night: “Beyond a Dollar a Day and the Hidden Debt” 7 p.m.- 9 p.m. in room 225 in Brooks Hall.

Wednesday Nov. 20: “GIS Day”: MHS student visitors only 9:30 a.m.- 1 p.m. in the GIS Tech Center. “CAVE Demo” 9:30 a.m.- 1 p.m. first floor Brooks Hall. “The Geography of Coffee” 9 a.m.- 12 p.m. fifth floor of Brooks Hall. “Mapping Your Wardrobe” 12 p.m.- 2 p.m. in the Mountainlair. Movie Night: “Beyond a Dollar a Day and the Hidden Debt” 4 p.m.-7p.m. in room 225 in Brooks Hall.

Thursday Nov. 21: “CAVE Demo” 12 p.m.- 1 p.m. on the first floor of Brooks Hall.
