Eberly College Alumni Recognition Award
Alumni Award: Steven Shreve, Dot Shreve & Michael Mays
Alumni Award: Gudfinna Bjarnadottir
The Eberly College of Arts and Sciences established this recognition to acknowledge and celebrate living Eberly College alumni. The award seeks to acknowledge the important contributions our alumni are making in their community and within their professions.
Nominations will be reviewed by the Dean’s Advisory Committee, a standing faculty committee. The committee’s recommendations will be forwarded to the Eberly College Advisory Committee for selection.
Current WVU faculty and administrators, as well as current members of the College’s Advisory Committee, are not eligible for this recognition.
Recipients must return to campus to receive their award. The college hosts a number of annual events, including Homecoming, Certificate of Achievement Ceremony, Weekend of Honors, Anniversary Reception, and Commencement, which can serve as a back drop for an alumni award presentation. No more than six awards will be given in one academic year. Each recipient’s name will be added to a memorial plaque in Woodburn Hall.
